We are asking parents of students at Clemens Mill Public School to collect their child from the school as soon as possible today.
We have detected what we believe may be an underground gas leak. All students and staff are safe. Students in some classrooms are moving to rooms on the other side of the school and the playground as a precaution. We are working with Union Gas to monitor gas levels to ensure that the school remains safe to occupy. If the situation changes and we need to evacuate the school quickly, we will move to our evacuation point at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School.
After school care at Clemens Mill will not operate today and we are cancelling tonight’s School Council meeting.
We will update this web post, Twitter and Facebook as more details become available.
