Dear Clemens Mill families:

I hope that you have been hearing about the exciting dance-a-thon that is happening this VERY Friday February 13th at Clemens Mill School. Organized by our wonderful School Council, our students will have an opportunity to support our campaign for increased technology in our school. That’s right-putting much needed IPADs and Chromebooks into the hands of more students! We ask that, as they are able, students fill out their dance-a-thon pledge forms and return them to the school by Friday. For safety reasons, we have asked students to only ask those they know for sponsorship and not go door to door.

There will be special lighting, dance competitions, and of course, fabulous prizes. The top fundraisers are eligible for a chance to win an IPOD and the top fundraising class will win a pizza party. Every $5 pledge gives the student a ballot with a chance to win gift cards, movie passes and some exciting prizes by our own Clemens Staff such as: nutrition break games in the gym with Mr. Wilson, Mr. Sealock, and Miss Reinhart, a Sundae party with Mrs. Graham and Mr. McLeman, a poutine party with Madame Atack and Mrs. Silcox, nail painting with Mrs. Rai, Mrs. Colbeck, Miss McCreight, Madame Papalia, and Ms. Payerl, take away crafts with Madame Byron, computer games with Mrs. McKenna, movie and popcorn with Mrs. Gough, candy kabob making with Mr. Watt, Mrs. Forrester, and Mrs. Venneri….the list keeps growing!!! A complete list of prizes will be posted in the main foyer as well as a poster asking students to list their favourite songs that they wish to be played.

We will be exercising while dancing and promoting technology all at the same time!
